Listicle landing pages for Shopify

A listicle landing page makes its case as a numbered list: “5 reasons…”, “7 things to know before…”, “the 5 questions every buyer asks”. Each item is a short section with a heading, a few lines of copy, and usually an image or video.

The format is easy to scan on a phone, which is where most paid social traffic lands. This page covers when a listicle fits, how to structure one, and how to build it in Funneled.

What is a listicle landing page?

A listicle is an article written as a list. As a landing page, the list is the argument for the product: each numbered item gives the reader one reason to buy, answers one objection, or explains one step.

The number in the headline tells the reader how much there is to read and gives them a reason to keep scrolling. Because every item stands on its own, a reader who skims still takes away two or three points.

A listicle can end by sending the reader to the product page, or it can include the product and add to cart on the page itself.

When to use a listicle

  • The product has several distinct benefits and no single one carries the sale.
  • Buyers raise the same handful of objections, and you can answer each in a few lines.
  • Your ad already uses a number: “5 reasons I switched”. The page should keep that promise.
  • You want a format you can produce quickly for each audience, by swapping which items lead.

When to use something else

  • The product needs one long explanation, not several short ones. An advertorial handles that better.
  • You cannot fill the list with real points. Three strong reasons beat seven padded ones.
  • The visitor is ready to buy and only needs the offer.

What goes on a listicle

In the order a visitor meets them, top to bottom.

  1. 01

    A headline with the number

State how many items there are and who the list is for. Match the wording of the ad.

  2. 02

    A short opening

Two or three lines on why the list exists. Some pages preview the whole list here so skimmers see every point.

  3. 03

    The numbered items

One point per item: a heading, a few lines, and an image or video. Put the strongest items first and last.

  4. 04

    A button inside the list

Give readers who are convinced by item two a way to act without scrolling to the end.

  5. 05

    Proof after the list

Reviews or testimonials that back up the claims the items made.

  6. 06

    The offer

The product with price and add to cart, or a clear button through to the product page.

How to build a listicle in Funneled

Funneled has a Listicle block made for this format. You add entries, and the block numbers and lays them out. The rest of the page is built from the same blocks as any other funnel.

Listicle
The list itself. Each entry has media, a title, body copy and an optional button. The block numbers the entries for you.
Title and Rich Text
The headline and the opening lines above the list.
Reviews and Testimonial Wall
Customer proof after the list.
Accordion
Remaining questions as a short FAQ near the offer.
Product
The offer: product images, variants, price and add to cart, pulled from your Shopify store.
Sticky Footer
Keeps the call to action on screen while the reader works through the list.
  • Each entry in the Listicle block can show its own button, so the reader can act from any item.
  • Save a finished list section to your block library and reuse it on the next page, changing only the entries that differ for that audience.
  • The order of the items is a good first test. Duplicate the page, move a different item to the top, and split traffic between the two.

Every page is built in the same editor and connects to the same store. For how products, cart, checkout, testing and analytics work, see the Shopify landing page builder overview.

Ozzi Gear

Five-question listicle for an outdoor chair

Written for one audience: older buyers. The page lists the five questions they ask before buying a camp chair, then answers each in its own numbered section with a video and a call to action.

As many as you have real points for. Five to seven is common because it is enough to feel substantial and short enough to finish on a phone. A list padded to reach a number is weaker than a shorter one.

Both are content-led landing pages. An advertorial tells one continuous story or explanation. A listicle breaks the argument into numbered items that each stand alone. Listicles are faster to scan. Advertorials suit products that need a longer explanation.

It can do either. In Funneled you can add a Product block with add to cart below the list so the reader buys on the page, or use buttons that send them to your Shopify product page.

One per audience or ad angle works best, because the items that matter differ. The Ozzi Gear example on this page is written only for older buyers. A version for hikers would list different questions.

Yes. The Listicle block in Funneled handles the numbering and layout. You add the entries in a visual editor, connect your Shopify products, and publish to a subdomain of your own domain.
